Agresivitate
Una din cele 2 testoase ale mele au devenit foarte agresiva. Daca pana acum observam doar miscari rapide de labute in zona capului celeilalte, tinandu`se mereu dupa ea cu orice ocazie cand cea mica era`n apa, acum a devenit ceva mai grav. Din fericire inca nu s`a intamplat nimic si`am observat la timp (mai bine zis tata) cand a observat ca testoasa cea mare a prins`o de cap pe ea mica si`o rasucise cu burta`n sus.
In urmatoarele secunde le`am separat printr`un geam prins cu ventuze, cea mica avand portiunea mai buna din acvariu.
Observatii: desi erau separate.. cand cele 2 se intalneau la mijloc, cea mare dadea sa muste "prin geam".
Cauze: simplu fapt ca cei 2 s`ar putea sa fie masculi, in rest nimic altceva, dandu`le pana acum o saptamana sa manance impreuna.
Alte cauze gasite pe net:
1. Turtles, especially male turtles can become aggressive towards each other, if you notice any aggression it will be best to separate the two
2.Red-eared sliders can be quite aggressive—especially when food is involved.
3. The male swims toward the female and flutters or vibrates the back side of his long claws on and around her face and head. The female will swim toward the male and, if she is receptive, will sink to the bottom for mating. If the female is not receptive, she may become aggressive towards the male. (la mine tot masculul era agresiv)
4. Sometimes a male will appear to be courting another male. This is actually a sign of dominance and the males may begin to fight. Juveniles may display the courtship dance, but until the turtles are five years of age they are not mature and unable to mate
